Green-Schools

Most young people care deeply about environmental issues, and wish to make a positive change in the environment around them. At Scoil Fhursa. we have decided to play our part. We are currently working towards being awarded the ‘Litter and Waste’ Green Flag.

Green-Schools is an international environmental education programme, offering a well-defined, controllable way for schools to take environmental issues from the curriculum and apply them to the day-to-day running of the school.

Green School Committee
Our Green Flag Committee is made up of pupils from 1st class to 6th class. The committee meets on a regular basis under the guidance of Mrs. Roche to discuss new ideas and to ensure that targets set at previous meetings are being met.
